Hi, I’m Karen…

I’m the Managing Ninja behind Bare Minimum Marketing, and I work with small business owners who want marketing that’s practical, sustainable, and doesn’t take over their lives.
After more than a decade working on big-brand campaigns, a health scare forced me to slow down and take a hard look at how I wanted to work…and live…going forward. Late one night at my kitchen table, juggling caffeine and unreliable Wi-Fi, I realized I didn’t want to build another business that demanded constant hustle to survive.
So I did a reset…and built something different.
Bare Minimum Marketing was born out of a simple idea: small businesses don’t need more pressure…they need clarity, support, and systems that fit real life. My mission is to help business owners grow sustainably, with the smallest reasonable investment of time, energy, and money.
Marketing is supposed to be fun
Most people hear bare minimum and picture cutting corners…but that’s your survival instinct talking.
At Bare Minimum Marketing it means pulling the single, smartest lever that unlocks the biggest result, then systematizing it so you can rinse-and-repeat without burnout.
Marketing is just telling the world about your life’s work…your passions, your purpose, the thing you’ll be talking about over coffee anyway.
When we frame it that way, campaigns feel less like chores and more like creative play sessions that grow your reach.
